MYRIAM SPRINGUEL
Myriam Springuel has 25 years of experience in museum planning and management, and in developing exhibitions and education programs. She now works with boards and senior staff, facilitating and developing strategic and interpretive plans, providing related staff and board training, and working with boards to enhance governance.
As associate director for programs at the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service (SITES), she translated SITES' mission into strategic planning, supervised 30 project directors, and was responsible for 60 exhibitions annually that traveled to museums of all sizes and disciplines. Before joining SITES, Myriam curated fine arts exhibitions and developed education programs at the John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art. She has an MA in art history from the University of Maryland.
Myriam has made frequent conference presentations, lectured internationally, and published in museum journals and newsletters. She has also served as a grant reviewer and on national advisory committees. She has been a board member for professional organizations and for a Florida history museum and nature center.
